Description
Archaeological remains associated with the loss of this vessel are not confirmed as present at this location, but may be in the vicinity.

Event and Historical Information:
The PRISCILLA was a wooden sloop built by Hugh Evans at Leri Bridge, Ynyslas, in 1845. Technical and configuration specifications are given as 32 tons; 45.6ft length x 12.6ft breadth x 7.5ft depth in hold; 1 deck, 1 mast, sloop rigged with a running bowsprit, square sterned, carvel built; official number 9831. At time of loss, the vessel was owned Evan Jenkins of Borth, master mariner. The sloop's port of Aberystwyth registry was closed in June 1873 with the annotation 'vessel lost with all hands, 3 in number, in Aberdaron Bay in Royal Charter Gale'. Others sources suggest Porth Oer as the place of loss.
