Event and Historical Information:
The PALENDAR was a 34nt wooden sloop built at Conwy in 1850. At time of loss on 11 February 1861, the vessel was owned by Kneeshaw and registered at Liverpool. It was carrying a cargo of oats under the command of master D Wynne. The sloop encountered a northwesterly force 9 gale and was wrecked in Bardsey Sound. Two crewmembers were also lost in the incident.
