Event and Historical Information:
The MAID OF MEIRION was a 48nt wooden dandy built in 1869. At time of loss on 19 October 1900, the vessel was owned by Mrs M Jones of Aberystwyth and registered at that port. The dandy was carrying roofing slates from Porthmadog to Larne under the command of W Roberts when the vessel ran onto Maen Bugail.
