Event and Historical Information:
The GIPSY was a wooden schooner built in 1831 and registered at Beaumaris. At time of loss 10 October 1884, the vessel was owned by H Edwards of Bangor (also the master). The vessel was carrying coal from Liverpool to Beaumaris when it was caught in a northwesterly force 9 gale and stranded near the Great Orme.
