Event and Historical Information:
The COMET was a 14nt wooden smack. At time of loss on 30 September 1898 with another smack (see EDITH NPRN 271546), the vessel was owned by H Hughes of Nefyn, it was caught at anchor during a northerwesterly force 8 gale and driven ashore in Nefyn Bay.
