This record comprises a documentary reference to a shipping casualty which has been assigned to the maritime named location ABERDARON pending more information which may allow a more precise location for the loss to be assigned.

Event and Historical Information:
The KENT was a wooden schooner built at Frodsham in 1816. Technical and configuration specifications are given as 75nt; 60ft 1in length x 18ft 7in breadth x 8ft 7in depth. The KENT was placed on the port of Chepstow from Bridgewater in April 1863, when owned by Alfred Chapman of Redland Hall, Bristol. Chapman sold the schooner fo Henry Gillam of Chepstow on 14 June 1866. The KENT was wrecked on rocks in Aberdaron Bay on 22 October 1867
