Event and Historical Information:
The BRISK was a 255nt wooden brigantine built in 1869. At time of loss on 11 December 1870, the vessel was on passage from new York to Liverpool with a cargo of molasses. It was caught on a lee shore by a westerly force 6 and went onto rocks off the Rhoscolyn Bay Beacon. The lives of two crewmembers were also lost.
