Description
This record consists of a documentary reference to a shipping casualty which has been assigned to the maritime named location HOLYHEAD BAY pending more information which may allow a more precise location for the loss to be assigned.

Event and Historical Information:
The ADELAIDE was a 72nt wooden brig which stranded in Holyhead Bay in 8 July 1856 during a west-northwesterly force 10 gale. One crew member was also lost during the incident.
