Description
This record comprises a documentary reference to a shipping casualty which has been assigned to the maritime named location DUTCHMAN?S BANK pending more information which may allow a more precise location for the loss to be assigned.

Event and Historical Information:
The INO was a 75nt wooden schooner built at Frodsham in 1846. At time of loss on 20 February 1877, the vessel was owned by Brundits & Co of Runcorn and was carrying a cargo of granite boulders from Penmaenmawr to Dublin. The schooner was caught by a northwesterly force 9 gale and foundered as it tried to put back into Beaumaris for shelter. Three lives were lost along with the vessel.
