Description
1. A timber-framed hall and crosswing, probably medieval, altered, cased in brick and possibly extended in the late C17 and thereafter. The Castle Street facade is in three sections; the first to the right is a plastered gable with casement windows, the second in the centre is an entrance with ogee headed doorway and windows, and the third to the left is a two and a half storeyed wing with sash windows and dentilled cornice. The south elevation is quite plain and the rear elevation has been much altered. Internally the house consists of a late C17 two-room block with cellar at the south, and at the north end an almost complete medieval crosswing, retaining much of its original north wall.
