This record consists of a documentary reference to a shipping casualty which has been assigned to the maritime named location THE SKERRIES pending more information which may allow a more precise location for the loss to be assigned.

Event and Historical Information:
The JAMES WALTERS is recorded a sailing vessel which was on passage from Dublin to Liverpool under the command of master Roberts went it ran onto The Skerries on 15 March 1824 in company with another vessel, also on passage from Dublin to Liverpool, the KATE (see NPRN 240581).
