Event and Historical Information:
The LORD MIDDLETON was a wooden sailing vessel registered in Newcastle. At the time of loss, 4 December 1823, the vessel was sailing from St Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada to Liverpool under the command of Captain Thomas. The LORD MIDDLETON drove ashore in Holyhead Bay, bilged and wrecked. The 14 crew and passengers were saved by the Custom House boat.
