Description
This record comprises a documentary reference to a shipping casualty which has been assigned to the maritime named location CARDIGAN BAY pending more information which may allow a more precise location for the loss to be assigned.

Event and Historical Information:
The CAMPO BELLO was a wooden sailing vessel on passage from Campobello Island (New Brunswick) to Liverpool in November 1772. The report printed in Lloyds List on 1 December 1772 noted the master's name as Bone and that the vessel had been lost in Cardigan Bay. Part of the cargo had been saved
