Description
This record consists of a documentary reference to a shipping casualty which has been assigned to the maritime named location ANGLE BAY pending more information which may allow a more precise location for the loss to be assigned.

Event and Historical Information:
The ketch HEROINE was built at Rye in 1869 and was registered at Llanelli (formerly at Dover). The ketch was owned at time of loss by F J Evans, Burry Port, and was carrying a cargo of coal from Burry Port to Ballinacurra. The ketch has sought shelter in Milford Haven during a N to NNW force 9 gale and was at anchor. The weather conditions caused the moorings to part and the ketch drove ashore in Angle Bay on 10 September 1903.
