The GWENDOLINE was a 33nt wooden ketch built in 1887 at Milford Haven. At time of loss on 16 September 1891, the vessel was owned by J Davies of Llandyssil, Cardigan (also the master). The ketch was enroute from Caernarfon to Cardiff carrying a cargo of roofing slate, when it was in collision with the Cardigan registered iron steamship SEAFLOWER in Jack Sound. The GWENDOLINE subsequently foundered.
