Event and Historical Information:
The LUSITANIA was a wooden sailing vessel which ran aground whilst attempting to enter Aberystwyth harbour on 15 September 1833. The report printed in Lloyds List on 17 September noted that the vessel had come from Quebec and that the cargo was expected to be saved.
