Description
This record consists of a documentary reference to a shipping casualty which has been assigned to the maritime named location BREAKSEA POINT pending more information which may allow a more precise location for the loss to be assigned.

Event and Historical Information:
The COMET was a 14nt Bristol Channel pilot cutter. At time of loss on 2 March 1895, the vessel was owned by T B Brown of Barry and seekingpilotage work for that port. The pilot cutter came onshore at Breaksea Point and was lost in a west-northwesterly force 6.
