Event and Historical Information:
The LILY was a 5nt Bristol Channel pilot cutter built in 1884 and owned by G Bennett of Barry Island. At time of loss 20 January 1900, the vessel was under the command of A Crisp and seeking pilotage work for Barry. On 20 January 1900, the pilot cutter was caught in fog, and consequently came onshore on Treharries Point, Barry Island.
