Description
This record consists of a documentary reference to a shipping casualty which has been assigned to the maritime named location NASH SANDS pending more information which may allow a more precise location for the loss to be assigned.

Event and Historical Information:
The AMELIE was a 43nt wooden lugger built in 1844 and of French registry. At time of loss on 17 April 1870, the vessel was enroute from Cardiff to Lucon. The lugger stranded on the Nash Bank. Three crewmembers lost their lives.
