Description
The wreckage now has a height of less than 1m above the general level of the seabed.

Event and Historical Information:
The British steamship MACLAREN, 2330gt, was on passage from Liverpool to Barry in ballast with 26 crew and 5 passengers on board. The five passengers were a local pilot and 4 gunners. The ship detonated a German mine and subsequently sank on 3 December 1941. Three crewmen lost their lives. The ship was considered a danger to navigation and was buoyed until 1943 when it was dispersed by the MARIA using explosives. HMS WOODLARK further dispersed the wreck in September 1969. A hydrographic sruvey undertaken by a commercial company in July 1989 suggests that the wreck is well broken up and flattened.
