Event and Historical Information:
The LILY was a 6nt wooden tug built in 1890. At time of loss, the vessel was owned by T R Brown, Bristol, who was also the tug's master. The LILY was seeking towage work near the English and Welsh Grounds lightship when it caught fire and subsequently foundered.
