Event and Historical Information:
The REINDEER was a 75nt, wooden schooner built at Caernarfon in 1841. At time of loss, the vessel was owned by Hugh Griffiths, Caernarfon. It was carrying a cargo of roofing slate from Port Dinorwic to London on 20 October 1874 when it sprung a leak and was subsequently abandoned 10miles north-northwest of Bardsey.
