This record comprises a documentary reference to a shipping casualty which has been assigned to the maritime named location ST GEORGE'S CHANNEL pending more information which may allow a more precise location for the loss to be assigned.

Event and Historical Information:
The EAGLE was a wooden sailing vessel, registered at Padstow. In early March 1802 the vessel departed from Padstow to South Wales with the YOUNG HARRY. The YOUNG HARRY was wrecked at Mumbles in a storm, and the EAGLE was presumed to have been lost in the same storm, along with all hands.
