Possibly on the site of the moated residence of Edward Broughton in 1700. A 2-storey house in a restrained early 19th-century style. Brown brick construction, with a slate roof with twin hips to the rear and wide boarded eaves. Symmetrical elevation to the road, with a lower 2-storey service wing attached to the left. 12-pane sash windows with stone cills throughout, and a central door with wooden pedimented surround and overlight. The rear elevation shows signs of alteration.
