DescriptionThe Glasffrwd well is located within forestry between the Afon Glasffrwd and a tributary stream from which it is fed. The well is in the form of an irregular trench or cut, about 1.5m wide by 4m in length with a depth of about 1m. The walls and floor of the trench are lined with slabs of slate and at the southern end there is a rectangular cistern formed from four upright slabs of slate which has been placed to catch water fed into it via an underground channel. Access to the well was via three steps set into the eastern side.
