DescriptionNAR SH95NE1
A subcircular mound, c.11m in diameter & 1.2m high: excavation, 1973-5, showed that a natural eninence had been scarped back & a boulder ring, 8.0m in diameter, fixed about its summit, which was then mounded up to a level with the top of the ring-boulders, whilst without the ring was fringed by a glacis of stones & boulders: the site, having produced a radio-carbon date centred on 2140BC, was restored following excavation.
