A moated, subrectangular platform, about 40m north-east to south-west by 35m, the moat being about 13-16m wide on the north-west & south-east sides, 24m wide on the north-east, narrowing to about 8.5m on the south-west, where it is crossed by stepping stones.
Footings of a masonry retaining wall have been noted about the western angle.
