Description
The Garreg Lwyd standing stone is an erect monolith 1.1m high, by 1.4m by 0.7m that stands near the former junction of the three parishes of Aberhafesp, Bettws Cedewen and Trygynon. The heavily weathered stone has lettering that appears to be the initials of the former churchwardens of the three parishes. The weathered condition of the stone may indicate reuse of an earlier monument such as an ancient boundary stone.
