'The remains of a deserted settlement on uncultivated hillside west of New Inn. The remains are difficult to distinguish as the slope is strewn with boulders and thickly bracken-grown. Stony foundations define a series of rectangular and rounded enclosures, in places terraced into the hillside. There is at least one long-hut, comprising a downhill-sited building approximate 6m long, clearly defined marked by two hawthorn bushes. There are possible traces of two more a little to the west.' - Paul Davis, 2020
