Description
Cruck house, rebuilt circa 1900, but the building is claimed to date from 1417. The original house was probably of three bays with D-type entry by chimney. The chimney survives, with two principal rafters flanking the doorway. Matrices for the beams suggest that the house was originally storied, and an early photograph of c1890 shows dormer windows. One cruck has carving on the front face of a sea-beast and foliage.
