Description
A former school house sited downhill from the W gable of the Old Grammar School. The schoolmaster built a kitchen and brewhouse, with two rooms over, in 1825. The building was converted for residential use in October 1994. A 2-storey house constructed of sandstone rubble with squared quoins, hipped slate roof. The upper floor has one multipaned cast-iron window with intersecting Gothic heads, and a multipaned cast-iron casement below. Other windows are removed or blocked. Few interior features appear to survive and the division between rooms at upper floor level no longer exists.
