Site Record

A horseshoe-shaped shooting butt, one of four in a line, which are all located on the top of the hillside to the north-east of the Sportsman's Arms public house. They are all running roughly from south/north. It is approximately 4m in lenght by 3m wide and up to 0.4m high. It is of earthen construction. P. Schofield, Oxford Archaeology North, 8th December 2004
