Shooting butt, one of a number shown on the current Ordnance Survey mapping and the RCAHMW Aerial Photographic interpretation, and aligned approximately south-east/north-west on the north-east side of Liberty Hall. Ruinous square shaped of stone and turf construction. It measures approximately 4m-5m square by 0.5m high. It is quite well preserved. K. Blythe, Oxford Archaeology North, 29th March 2005
