Description
A small, sub-medieval cross-passage house, probably dating from the late 16th century. One and a half storeys, with walls of large boulders, with a curved eaves course. Square-section chimney to the E gable, with drip and capstones. No original door or window fittings survive. None of the original post-and-panel partitions survive, but the internal timbering is intact, with broad chamfered beams to the hall ceiling. To the E end of the hall is an inglenook fireplace with a bressumer beam above, and a winding stair to the upper floor to the side. The first floor is roofed by three trusses.
