Description
Sheep shelter built on a level platform at the foot of a slope. Large foundations stone embedded in the turf beneath the shelter may indicate an earlier structure. A possible annexe adjoins on the south-east side (Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Trust SMR).

Sub-rectangular stone structure with rough-built walls of piled stone. No evidence of coursing, interior possibly levelled. Probable animal fold. 4m x 6m x 0.7m high (CPAT 1995).

Sub-rectangular stone structure of rounded boulders. Set on a terrace above the stream within a meander loop. Well protected by the higher ground of the stream ravine on all sides except the E. Entrance location is uncertain. Although the present appearance of the site suggests it may have been a sheepfold, the site could have been rebuilt. In particular, the sheltered location may signify that it originally represented temporary or seasonal habitation. Overall dimensions 6.4m E/W by 3.6m and 0.7m high.
