Description
Gwastadfryn is a well-preserved two-storey farmhouse dating from the 17th century, classed as 'A' type, and remodelled in the late eighteenth or early nineteenth century. The west-facing frontage is of three bays, and there is a two-bay wing at the rear. The interior once had winding stone stairs, and there are ovolo moulded beams. To the south of the rear wing is an open-fronted lean-to, which was associated with an iron waterwheel fed by a leat which flowed past the rear of the building.
