Description
A late 18th-century or earlier house. Stone walls with a pitched slate roof and end and axial stone stacks. 2 storeys plus attics, with 5 gabled dormers to the front elevation. Five-window front, with sash windows throughout, and a central entrance door with a modern wood hood.
Associated with Hendre Stable (Nprn 41691) and Farm Complex (Nprn 402213)

2. Additional. Peter Smith notes (1989) that the external appearance is deceptive. The original main doorway is to the left of the present doorway. It is an A-type lateral chimney house. The unit to the right is an addition. The changes may date from the later C18th when Hendre Farm (NPRN 402213) was rebuilt. Several farmbuildings are dated 1769. RFS/RCAHMW/Jan. 2012.
