Description
A mine level, probably associated with a trial shaft 100m to the ENE, NPRN 285520. Its spoil tip lies 60m to the west, NPRN 285518. The whole complex is shown on the 1891 Ordnance Survey map and the level named as such. When visited during Upland survey in 2005, the level was still open with standing water within it. Running southwest from the mouth of the level was a gully 30m long, 3m wide and up to 2m deep. J.J. Hall, Trysor, 3 January 2006
