A wheel pit shown as a structure on the 1891 Ordnance Survey map, within the Cwmrhaiadr Mine complex (NPRN 402599). The wheel pit measured 12m northwest-southeast x 2m. Some machinery was still present including the wheel hub when the site was visited in June 2005. The northern edge of the pit had collapsed. Further remnants of the wheel could be seen near spoil tip NPRN 285671. J.J. Hall, Trysor, 23 December 2005
