Description
Named as a trial shaft on the 1891 Ordnance Survey map, the site appears to be an infilled level with a small spoil tip, NPRN 285764, to its north. The spoil tip measured 10m north-south and 7m east-west and was grassed over when the site was visited in July 2005. It is probably associated with the nearby Hyddgen lead mine. J.J. Hall, Trysor, 15 January 2006
