A level shown on the 1891 Ordnance Survey map, probably associated with the nearby Hyddgen lead mine. The level entrance is cut into the slope, forming a depression measuring 12m x 4m, up to 2m deep. The level is separated from the associated spoil tip (NPRN 285762) by the modern trackway. The spoil tip is a low mound, c.6m in diameter. R.P. Sambrook, Trysor, 5 January 2006
