Description
A ruined mine building, 20.4m east-west by 7.7m. The walls of dry stone build generally stand to less than 0.5m high. The northern wall which is revetted into the slope is best preserved at 0.8m high. The southern wall is as low as 0.2m high. It appears to have two cells, the westernmost being the smallest at 5.7m north-south by 3.4m (internal measurements). The larger eastern cell is 14m long by 5.8m with at least one, possibly two, entrances in the southern wall. The building is shown as a building on the 1891 Ordnance Survey map but disused by the 1906 edition. J.J. Hall, Trysor, 15 January 2006
