Description
A disused, water filled mine shaft, fenced off for safety. A cast iron pumping pipe still protrudes from the shaft. An associated spoil tip, NPRN 285791, lies to the east of the shaft. The shaft is part of the Hyddgen lead mine, NPRN 303268 and was shown on the 1891 Ordnance Survey map and identified by the RCAHMW from an Ordnance Survey aerial photograph, frame number, 96/227-006.
