Description
A linear gully, running NNW-SSE for 25m x 2m wide x 0.5m deep. Along the eastern side of the cut is a spoil bank, 2m x 0.5m high. It is evidently a trial excavation associated with activity at the Hyddgen lead mine. Rather obscured by grass and reed growth. It was identified by the RCAHMW from a RAF aerial photograph, frame number 106G/UK/1450-4095, which suggested a much longer linear feature, which was not borne out by field investigation. R.P. Sambrook, Trysor, 6 January 2006
