Description
A rectangular drystone shelter measuring 3.50m long by 2.50m wide. It utilises medium to large unworked stones and incorporates earthfast boulders. The walls are double thickness and irregularly coursed and measure 0.90m wide and 1.20m high. In addition there is a stone-walled corridor that is 1.5m wide with walls 0.60m wide and 0.50m high. It leads from the trial to the shelter and protects the entrance to the shelter from the elements. A small walled store is contiguous to the south-eastern side of the shelter which measures 1.50m wide by 2.50m long and 0.60m high. It is shown on the RCAHMW Aerial Photographic Interpretation. P.J.
