Description
A deep linear stope that delves into the rock of Clogwyn y Barcut. It measures approximately 5m deep by 1m wide and 9m long. The cutting becomes cavernous as it extends into the hillslope. A sub-ovoid spoil heap lies to the west that measures 15m wide by 25m long and 4m high. A small tumbled shelter lies to the south. The shelter is L-shaped with walls that are both 2m long by 0.50m wide and 0.50m high. It is shown as 'Trial Level (copper)' on the 1st Edition OS mapping and is also shown on the RCAHMW Aerial Photographic Interpretation.
