Description
A four-walled building which has lost its roof [previously pitched], which measures 5m east-west, 3m north-south and has slate walls standing to 2m at their highest point and a maximum thickness of 0.7m. A large quantity of rubble collapse can be seen within but there are no indications that this was ever a multi-roomed building. The purpose of the structure is unclear, and it could have been either a hut or a quarry building as it is positioned beneath a large scree slope. Its door can be found in the north-west corner. Noted during an upland survey conducted by Archaeophysica during 2005-6
