Description
A ruined building measuring 10m north/south by 5m east/west. The north and south walls are substantially damaged, the west has vanished completely and the east has almost disappeared as well. There is a culvert in the south wall, which is visible on the exterior, which is roughly 1m wide by 0.8m high that goes back about 0.5m into the stone wall. Filled with water, 5m to the south can be seen a straight, steep-sided channel which runs approx. 10m into the nearby stream. This channel is in line with the culvert but there is no indication of the channel or culvert in the interior of the building or on the other side of it. Noted during an upland survey conducted by Archaeophysica during 2005-6
