Description
A boundary stone shown on all editions of the 1:10560 Ordnance Survey map from 1891 onwards. The stone itself is one of a set of stones defining the boundary between Crown lands and the Watkin Williams Wynn estate. The stone is an upright rectangular cut slab, 1.10m high by 0.15m thick. "WWW 1865" is inscribed on the west facing side and an upward pointing arrow and 1865 on the east facing side. The stone has possibly been re-erected and certainly the inscriptions are on opposite faces to the rest of the stones. When the site was visited during Uplands Survey in September 2006, the stone had some graffiti on it and some lichen. The vegetation around the stone was short grass and heather. J.J. Hall, Trysor, 14 September 2006
