A shaft, or trial shaft, cut alongside the southern side of an upstanding rock outcrop. There was a semi circular area of development rock mounded around the shaft to the northwest and west of the shaft. The shaft itself was infilled and only 1.5m deep but 3m in diameter. The overall feature was 12m east-west by 6m. The whole of the feature was covered with reeds and grass when it was recorded in September 2006. J.J. Hall, Trysor, 12 September 2006
